That's me
with the ornament I designed, painted and stitched
with my own hands in 3 short weeks! It was really
exciting to see my ornament hanging on the Blue
Room Tree.
The Santa was
painted on 13 mesh mono canvas and stitched with
Anchor and DMC Pearl Cotton #5 along with several
specialty threads.
Rainbow
Gallery's Angora was used for the wings and a
single strand of black floss was used for outlining
parts of the beard and wings to detail these areas
from the background.
Various
colors of Kreinik's #16 braids and Caron's
Rachelette were used to create the sparkly,
crystalline effects of the snowy village scene,
glittery gift packages and gold accents on the bag
and Santa's costume.
I also worked
random metallic dots on the pale blue ground behind
the Santa so it sparkles all over especially under
Christmas lights!
